Bangalore : Namma Metro Launch on March 15

Bangalore, Jan 20 (DHNS): Expressing happiness with the pace of Namma Metro project, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) Managing Director N Sivasailam on Wednesday exuded confidence that Reach 1 will be ready for commercial runs by March 15.

“After the Metro is inaugurated by the chief minister on January 24, we should be ready for commercial operations on Reach 1 by March 15. However, the final say in the commercial run will be subject to the government’s approval,” he said.

The commercial run is expected to commence following the safety certificate issued by the Commissioner for Railway Safety in eight to ten weeks after the inauguration.

“The safety certification is expected to happen after a detailed inspection of all the components on the Metro track. This will include the breaking system and the signal system,” said Sivasailam.

Hello everyone those who are saying that UPA govt is responsible for the completion of this project, it's completely wrong. The metro work started on full swing only when BJP govt came to power in the state. As Mr Shivanand Shetty told in his comments it's the nature of congress to who take the credit of good work done by other govts. JAI HO BJP.

Since BJP Government came to power, Mangalore infrastructure has gone downhill. Roads have become the worst in the country (example : the road from Kuldhekar to Kaikamba). It is impossible to travel to Bangalore from Mangalore by road due to the state of Shiradi Ghat section which has been destroyed by the illegal mining lorries. The Metro in Bangalore was started by Krishna, like many other projects there.

It is a good achievement as far as our infrastructure development is concerned. BJP followers need not make this as big noise as they are not sole responsible for this achievement in Bangalore. Even at the congress time, specially when SM Krishna was CM,Bangalore started getting attention from all over the world due to various development plans undertaken.

But BJP should be also appreciated
for the Namma Metro which is need of the hour in Bangalore city.I was in Bangalore last week and it took me about 2 Hours to reach from Whitefield to Majestic. Some tell me,2 hours was faster reach !!

Grond reality was Congress planned the project but was in no mood to finish it for years. The only work started was when Yeddy & Kumarswamy govt came into existence. It was furthered given more priority by the present BJP government and absolutely no support from other parties. The reason for BJP to get that done was because of the BMMP elections. Bangaloreans have seen real development happen only when Yeddy started ruling . For the common people, no matter whichever party rule, it wants the basic infrastructure to take shape, let that be an excuse in the name of elections. BJP even stressed on the JP nagar underpass which was lying unattended for a longtime. People who are commenting here without checking any statistics is really absurd. Harish kumbara sitting in Muscat ,Naufal sitting in Mallur and Jude sitting in Dubai. Are you guys so jobless , just sit and blindfolded just comment ,even if that doesnot make any sense to you??? Guys grow up!!! World is changing and move along with it...

Jude, Mangalore Dubai the party who completed the projects the credit should go them. Yeddy govt is fully responsible for this project and the metro work also started on full swing when the BJP govt came to power in Karnataka. It's offcourse the nature of congress party if something happens good they try to take the credit of it even though the party is not involved in that. If something goes wrong they will easily put the blame on BJP govt. Shame on congress. JAI HO BJP.

Congrates Yeddi & Co for speeding up Namma Metro. I suggest a technical team of expertise had to be sent to Study Dubai metro, their technical advancement in running metro efficiently for more than one year now. Their ticketing system and other facilities are just wonderful.

Mr. VINCY, don't make non-sense comments. Or at least try to learn the constitution and comment. Governor cannot throw the govt and impose president's rule just like that. Even if he recommend prosecution against Yediyurappa and he resigns, BJP still continue to have clear majority and some one else will be CM.

God is holding it not the pillars.Have you seen the one near Suratkal? Every time i see it i feel it is going to stone age? if you say that it comes under central leadership, than why is CM keeping quite??I have seen a beautiful bangalore emerging when it was S.M Krishna as CM, that was when IT firms came and Bangalore got glory! i hope and wish Current CM will take a cue forward!
