With hardly a year left for Karnataka’s next assembly elections in May 2023, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday, March 17 directed all the departments to get ready with the necessary official government orders for implementing the various schemes and programmes announced in the State’s budget for the year 2022-23 by April 1.
"We have to get cracking and take steps to implement the budget proposals from the beginning of the financial year itself," he said.
The Chief Minister has personally written to all heads of departments to be prepared with the GOs and implement the budgetary proposals.
Earlier, he inaugurated in the Onake Obavva Jayanti organised by the Kannada and Culture Department.
Legislative Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti, State Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Commission Chairman Nehru Olekar, MLA Ramesh Gowda, Urulinga Peddi Math seer Jnanaprakash Swamiji, Jagadguru Chalavadi Matt seer Basavanagideve Sharana, Chittraragi Ilkal Sri Vijaya Mahanteshwar Math’s Basavalinga Mahaswamy and many other dignitaries participated in the function.
