‘Sasya Sanjivini’ is a collection of articles brought in a book form. These articles had appeared in the weekly column, ‘Sasya Sanjini’ published in Kannada daily, Vijay Karnataka. Through the articles contained in the said book, the author proposes to educate the people about the scientific and medicinal properties of various vegetations, herbs etc, which they come across and use in their day-to-day lives. The author laments about the lackadaisical attitude prevalent about the invaluable attributes of the Ayurveda method of treatment in India, the country which gave birth to this excellent way to gain health, without having to suffer from side affects. Each of the 60 articles contained in the book introduces a tree, herb, vegetable, spice, fruit, or other product, which we use in our daily life, and provides exhaustive details of the medicinal qualities of the flowers, seeds, bark etc, apart from their types, attributes, how to use them, their English equivalent, etc. The articles are also accompanied by the photographs of the concerned product.
