Entrepreneur Harish Sherigar's Achievements Lauded by Alma Mater

Mangalore, Jan 23: The alumni day celebrations of Shree Gokarnanatheshwara College were held in the premises of the College here on Saturday January 22 at 5 pm.
B Devdas, president, Shree Venkatesha Shiva Bhakthi Yoga Sangha presided over the programme. Manikanth Kadri, renowned film music director, Nandagopal Shenoy, chartered accountant, City Point and Pankaj Jain, proprietor of Mangalore Lights were the chief guests.
On the occasion Harish Sherigar, managing director of ACMA Building Materials, Dubai was felicitated. Office-bearers of the alumni association S Jayavikram (correspondent), Major Gangadhar B (director), Naveenchandra B (president), Lokanath B (staff advisor), Jayashree (secretary), Shivaprasad (treasurer) and its members were present. An orchestra programme was organized later in the evening. Harish Sherigar and group enthralled the audience with his melodious voice.
About Harish Sherigar
Sherigar completed graduation in commerce in the year 1988 in Gokarnanatheshwara college and was the president of student council in the year 1988. He did diploma in computer in NIIT, Mangalore. Known for his melodious voice, Sherigar migrated to Muscat and worked for one of the reputed building material companies as sales manager from 1991-1995 and gained abundant knowledge and experience in the field and was appreciated and lauded by the company management as one of the dedicated employees of the organization.
He then shifted to Dubai in the year 1995 and worked for one of the reputed building material companies in Dubai again as sales manager and earned the confidence of the organization.
With his innovative, sharp business acumen, focused vision and professionalism and experienced vocation in the same meadow he has started his own business in the year 1999 named M/s. ACME Building Material Trading LLC, a well known market listed comprehensive company in Dubai. He has been instrumental in taking this organization to its present level of growth in an amazing short span of time. Most of his employees are from Mangalore/Dakshina kannada.
Besides he also started his real estate business Harsha Residence in the city, besides holding the old family business Avinash Mosaic Tiles, in Kulshekar, a reputed brand in the region. He is married to Sharmila Harish Sherigar and blessed with two children Akshatha and Anshul.
He has also been playing an active role in the social activities and charity work, both in Dubai and in the city.
