Karnataka Chief Minister Must Quit, Says Karat

Karnataka Chief Minister Must Quit, Says Karat

Jan 23 (IANS) The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) Sunday reiterated its demand that Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa must quit over land scam allegations.

"The CPI-M and other Left parties demanded three months back that Yeddyurappa should quit as he was personally involved in the land scam," CPI-M general secretary Prakash Karat told reporters.

"The BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) talks a lot about corruption. But they have a different stand when it comes to what is happening in Karnataka," he said.

Karat's statement comes in the wake of the Karnataka governor granting prosecution proceedings against Yeddyurappa over allegations that he gave away land to his family members.

    Well Said Mr. Richard !!.
Congress and JDS cannot tolerate the BJP rule in the state. Each and every time Siddaramayya, Dewegowda, and Kumaraswamy used to tell the same thing that "CM has to resign." It clearly shows that, they are hunger for only the power. Even today I heard the news that Mr. Kumaranna is conducting a meeting in a resort to prepare for the elections. And he is very much confident about the new election in the state soon!!.

Karat is trying to gain ground-when his party shamelessly sided with BJP when Nuclear Biil was tabled, when Parliament was hijacked for full session they had also joined them.
Now that his party is likely to be voted out of West Bengal in the next election- he is trying to co-habit Congress to weaken the alliance between Congress & TMC- which only now can save his party governance of the state which was in their hand for more than 20 concecutive years. Communists will only survive if it should change its colours-its policies of appeasing China & supporting its misdeeds against humanity & against our own national integrity, Blind opposition of U S in each & everything whether its right or wrong. Otherwise it will be the beginning of the end of an era of communism.

The CPI-M, Jago Yuva Bharat (JYB), and others backed by the UPA have joined forces to oust CM Yedurappa/BJP from Karnataka. Considering the popularity/support of BJP and the CM it would be an uphill task.

This is the truth and every one must understand. BJP will always talk about all great things and about nation. But in reality they are the stupids and distroying the nations. Yeddi must kick out from his office and must put behind the bars.

BJP Karanataka, having money and musle power, infact public had given them wafer thin majority, coupled with fragmented oppn streagnth in which BJP might have thought that no body will disturb them.Even the way of conducting House Bussiness,Speakers apathy towards oppn and lot of proved beyond doubt of many corruptions and nepotism in which CM,himself A-1 AROPI,seems to be very insensitive govt ever Karnataka had. What KARAT SAAB pressing for Yeddy's head is not hearing @ present. The one & only way to expose BJP's double std is agitate in national and state level cutting across party line under the slogan of SAVE DEMOCRACY.
