Bangalore: Governor Should Go, Says Yeddyurappa

Bangalore, Jan 24 (PTI) Stepping up his attack on Governor H R Bhardwaj for his sanction to prosecute him, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today firmly demanded that he should be recalled and said the BJP was contemplating filing a defamation case against him for his outbursts against the government.

Levelling a fresh charge against the Governor, Yeddyurapa said, "We have information that all the petitions submitted to him against the government were drafted in Raj Bhavan".

"It is better for him (the Governor) and also for the state that Bhardwaj looks at a state which is convenient for him to live and go there", Yeddyurappa, whose Government and Governor have been having a running battle for long, told reporters.

Yeddyurappa charged that ever since Bhardwaj assumed the office of the Governor, he has been relentlessly working to tarnish the image of the BJP Government.

Three More Complaints Filed against B S Yeddyurappa

Three more complaints were today filed against Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and others in connection with alleged land scam cases even as the BJP is mulling a strategy to deal with the political situation arising out of the Governor's sanction to prosecute him.

The complaints filed by Advocate Sirajin Basha relate to the alleged illegal transfer of land, abuse of power, criminal conspiracy, cheating and securing of illegal gain for the kith and kin of the Chief Minister and those associated with him.

The Chief Minister has been named as common accused in all the three complaints filed in the 23rd Additional City and Civil Sessions court and the two complaints filed yesterday.

The Chief Minister's son, in-laws, and companies that allegedly benefitted from the land deals were named as accused in the complaints.

BJP Leaders Meet President, Seek Governor's Recall

New Delhi, Jan 24 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders met President Pratibha Patil Monday and sought Karnataka Governor H.R. Bhardwaj's removal, with veteran L.K. Advani calling him biased.

"We have come to knock the doors of the president as his (Bhardwaj's) way of dealing with things are against the constitution," Advani said at the presidential palace, referring to the governor sanctioning prosecution of Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa for corruption.

"The governor has insulted the constitution. He was biased from day one and has let his post down," added Advani. The BJP alleged the governor was trying to fulfil his political ambitions.

The BJP submitted a 15-page report to the president.

Yeddyurappa demanded that the governor should apologies to the people of Karnataka.

On Sunday, Yeddyurappa met BJP leaders Advani and Arun Jaitley to chalk out a strategy to deal with the situation arising from the governor's sanction to prosecute him for alleged involvement in land scams.

Mr Yeddyurappa now is not disciplined, loyal RSS man. He is 100% dictator. High Command of BJP even cant ask Mr Yeddi to get down! What a shame!! Is it the same Mr A.B. Vajpayeeji`s BJP Party? Nobody is there in BJP-Karnataka to replace Mr Yeddy as CM of Karnataka? 6 crores of Kannadigas might have given power to BJP in Karnataka to run the Government not to practice corruption, nepotism etc. Karnataka`s Kannadigas are not like High Command of BJP.

They have guts to raise a party and also to bring down. Dont think we Kannadigas are `Shikhandis'. Why genius BJp leader Advaniji is silent regarding this issue? Mr Nagesh Mamu, please think and speak first and only about our Golden Karnataka which was peaceful, descent, silent, admired by each and every one. Now it is detiorating its glory day by day because of this lawless Mr Yeddy. Let us first save our own state and then show finger on other persons.

On reading the comments & the news, I don’t understand why some people & BJP high command including Yeddyurappa wants governor to quit. Just analyze the differences between both Yeddyurappa & Governor. I totally respect the decision of Governor since he has taken the decision on his power assigned to him legally where as Yeddyurappa as acquired land illegally. At the current situation, Yeddyurappa is involved in corruption of land scam where as Governor is not. Now we the people of Karnataka & BJP high command should decide whether we want the corrupt Yeddyurappa who is totally busy with the corruption issues and absolutely not concentrating on work or the non-corrupt governor?

BJP high command has a very easy solution by sacking Yeddyurappa from CM position & replacing the new CM. With this all the problems are solved. Let BJP government with new CM continue & complete the term of 5 years successfully. With this we the people of karnataka need not suffer. If Yeddyurappa thinks that he is clean then he should step down & fight for justice if not be ready to face the legal actions as decided by the court.

All these years BJP High commond talking about anti-corruption subject, when BJP Chief Minister
Mr. Yeddyurappa involved in corruption they certified him that Yeddi is correct, the man who exposed this act (Governor of Karnataka)is a culprit, they forcing him to go from Karnataka state-so that their candiate can loot more and contribute more to the Party fund. From this one should understand that BJP has no charater/no moral and no shame.

Media can go on writing anything against Yeddyurappa but they forget that there is no alternative to Yeddyurappa in karnataka. Congress is down and out ,and people will prefer Yeddyurappa anytime to that chindi chor gowda family. Elections after elections BJP is gaining ground in karnataka. We should accept the facts. again the question remains that under the leadership of MMS such huge scams have taken place, will congrssi demand to bring him to justice also.

There are many sensible people in Karnataka who strongly supports Hon. Governor. Admit that BJP has no one to replace you, though they know you are stinking corrupt and shameless to the core. you have brought disgrace to Kannadigas and you should apologise to people of Karnataka and not the 'iron' man - Hon. It is time for you to accept your sins, return the loot and take sanyas. Maybe the kannada film industry will have a place for you in tragedy roles as you are very good at crying in public.
