Venkaiah Naidu Held During Rally Against Bhardwaj 

Bangalore, Jan 25 (IANS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators and party MPs from Karnataka, including senior leader M. Venkaiah Naidu, were detained here Tuesday while marching to Raj Bhavan demanding recall of Governor H.R. Bhardwaj.

The 'Raj Bhavan Chalo' (March to Raj Bhavan) was organised by the ruling BJP to protest Bhardwaj's decision to sanction prosecution of Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa over corruption charges.

"Our fight will continue till Bhardwaj is recalled," Naidu told reporters as he was bundled into a police vehicle along with his party colleagues, a few metres away from Raj Bhavan.

"Bhardwaj is acting like a Congress agent and our battle against him will not stop because of arrests like this," he said.

The march was led by state BJP president K.S. Eshwarappa, who was also detained.

The marchers carried placards and shouted slogans as they walked from a hotel -- where they met earlier and decided on staging rallies across the state in the coming days -- to Raj Bhavan half a km away.

    Sir Satish Kunder, Mangalore/Kuwait i really dont know from where did you collect information about RSS. I use to attend RSS shaka during my childhood. They were teaching only good things about our country irrespective of caste and religions. Even the people from all the religions and castes were attending the shaka and they were very much comfortable with it.

    Dear Mr. Durgadas Suvarna & other BJP supporters,

    There is no problem if BJP hoists flag In Kashmir or any othet part of Inida but the problem is politicising of the issue and marketing the idea as partiotism.

    Do you know how RSS was came into being in 1924? Mr. Hegdevar was influenced by Mr. Hardiikar who started Congress Sevadal in 1923 in Nagpar Central Jail. I am a product of Sevadal which only preaches "one India" irrespective of Religion, Caste and Creed. Disciplaine, drills and social service is the part of Sevadal culture. RSS follows most of these ideas except it tries to bring the division of Indians by way of religion and as a Indian I will surely oppose this idea which is against Indian Constitution.

    Satish Kunder, Mangalore/Kuwait every country is identified by their national flag first. So what's wrong if the BJP hoists national flag in Kashmir. BJP is much better than congress as they are taking intiative to hoist national flag in Kashmir which is a part of our country. JAI HIND

    If BJP was so patriotic to the nation, don't you think they should have gone to Bihar, Chhatisgarh, 'Waste' Bengal, and Jharkhand, and hoisted the national flag in the heartland to Maoist country?

    Satish Kunder, Mangalore/Kuwait BJP is hoisting our indian national flag in kashmir. You might be knowing that kashmir is in india na and what's wrong if the BJP hoists the national flag there. We have to appreciate the intiative which the BJP is taking in hoisting the national flag in kashmir. They are much better than congress who are giving good hospitality to the enemies of our country. Mr Kunder please dont comment on RSS without having any knowledge. RSS have not worked against our country. We all know that you are the supporter of congress, but when it comes to our country we have to be one irrespective of all castes, religions, political parties etc. JAI HIND

    Do you feel that patriotism is measured by hoisting the national flag in Kashmir? What a cheap politics by BJP!

    They are the people who have least respect for Indian Constitution and even today RSS is not comforatble singing 'Rastra Geete'.

    Advani by his Rath Yatra divided the country on communal lines and now they are again gone to divide J&K from India.

    Hello Mr. Nayak, BJP is formed after many years of independent. Till then they were RSS who killed Gandiji, after Janatha Party they were so much of greedy of power they made BJP. What they did when they were in power and let you know and answer it.
    1. Why they released such a dangerous terrorist?
    2. When your PM was sick when they asked USA doctor to come here and do his surgery?
    3. Why Advani said that he loves pakisthan?
    4. When they were in power why they could NOT make RAMA TEMPLE in Ayodya?
    5. If you think that they are doing only development then why so much corruption and many minsters are rapist, murderers, Goondas, Cheaters, and liers? Is this development as you are telling.
    We know you are from BJP and RSS member, and you may dream that BJP is doing good job.

    I bet come to Udupi and stay in bus stop and ask some of your BJP people (Leaders) to help the needy. Go to SC, ST colony and find out what they want? Go to Beedi workers and ask their difficulties. Go to farmers and wipe away their tears and help them to repay their loan. Mr. Nayak it is impossible for you or your BJP. They always talk to gain power, money, and back stab you.

    Governor is the King of Karnataka and he should be highly respected. No one can take the law in their hands. Police has the rights to arrest lawless people. Police should be given more powers only then we will have discipline in our Nation. Corrupt people should not be in politics. Such people as CM or ministers in the state should be dismissed from the government. If the government could not do service for the people what is the use of such governments.

    I thank God we have a governor who knows the law and he knows how to handle the situation. Mr. Santhosh Hegde is a jem and he is trust worthy. It is better to have a election, after President's rule in Karnataka. Candidates should have clean records of themselves. Let there be a clean election, without money and liquor. We need a crystal clean government.
