Mangalore: Budding Physiotherapists Get Tips at National Conference

Mangalore, Jan 25:
The seventh All India Physiotherapy Students’ Conference was held at T V Raman Pai Convention Centre, here on Tuesday January 25.

The city-based Yenepoya University vice-chancellor Dr P Chandramohan inaugurated the programme. Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy secretary Dr M R Shetty delivered the presidential address. Dr Ali Irani, former physiotherapist of Indian Cricket team delivered the keynote address.

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

MLA U T Khader, Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust secretary Dr M Ramgopal Shetty and Sree Devi Education Trust chairman Sadanand Shetty were the guests of honour on the occasion.
 
Video presentation of Physio Week, 2011 was screened by the organizing committee. U T Fareed and Naseema Fareed Memorial Award Gold medal and Shobha Alva Memorial Gold Medal was awarded to the students.
 
The conference chairperson Dr Susan Varghese welcomed the gathering.  Physio Week, 2011 organizing committee member Dr Naveeta Pereira proposed the vote of thanks.

The conference was organized by South Kanara Physiotherapy Teachers' Association. Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy was the convenor of the programme.
