Bangalore: Karnataka Governor Hoists Tricolour

Bangalore: Karnataka Governor Hoists Tricolour

Bangalore, Jan 26 (IANS) Karnataka Governor Hans Raj Bhardwaj Wednesday hoisted the tricolour at the Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Ground here amid tight security to mark the 62nd Republic Day.

Clad in suit and sporting a rose in the pocket, Bhardwaj took salute and inspected the guard of honour by going round the grounds atop an open jeep amid cheers and applause by about 5,000 people gathered for the grand occasion.

Thousands of rose petals were dropped from a helicopter when the governor unfurled the flag on a bright sunny day and the national anthem was played.

Contingents of army, navy and air force led the parade followed by the Karnataka State Reserve Police, National Cadet Corps and boys and girls from the Scouts and Guides.

Sad day for Indian democracy. Indian citizens have been denied the basic fundamental right of hoisting the flag in their own country. Total misuse of power by Manmohan Singh and Omar Abdullah.

I'm depending what yeddy is doing but every one corrupt, yeddy might have done just 5% of what goudas and SM Krishna have done. most of land around bangalore owned by congress leaders and Goudas. Most of the ITpark thease gusy are ownbers. but bjp does not know how to eat. i know couple of instances where DKShivakumar chailas forced farmers to sell their land around bangaore. If Govr is good guy who would have suggested rebel MLA go with govt.

Happy Republic day to all my fellow Indians. One more BJP hidden Agenda failed today after Omar called the BJP fanatics to join the Republic day parade in Kashmir or Jammu. The core objective of this yatra was to politicize the separatist problems of Kashmir and provoke the minority. With that starts the lati charge, curfew, goli bar, few will die and Hindus get provoked and later they will support n vote for BJP.

Long live Karnataka Governor. After decades we got a bold n clever Governer. We need him for another. Looking very young handsome. Where is our C. M. may be he is in kashmir. He will reserve 5 crores in Budget for the public who will give evidence of Gowda Family corruption. (That means he doesn’t have any evidence against Gowda family) What foolish C.M. He is above Mohamed Bin Toghlak.
