We need to some more officers who advocate and respect human rights. There is a general perception that all police officers are corrupt and violate human rights. They can verbally abuse and physically assault the innocent without fear of being held accountable. No officer should be rewarded even if there is a single complain about violating human rights.

Hearty congratulations to all the above officers and more specifically to Santhosh. He is an unsung hero of the department. He is very meticulous in planning, quite efficient in implementation, committed to the core and above all keeps a very low profile. His unwavering enthusiasm, healthy sense of humour and ever readiness to do any type of work makes him an asset to any organisation. The President's award recognizes his meritorious service. Persons like him are the important cogs in the Government wheel.

Since India is being recognised world wide for corruption, three most corrupt Ministers from each state should also be selected for presidents awards.
