Kalaburgi, Mar 27: Sri Pranavananda Swamiji of Haveri Sharanabasaveshwara Math said that a meeting of swamijis of backward class maths is organized on March 30 to hold the Siddu Hatao campaign.

The Swamiji said that this campaign is planned against Siddaramaiah, leader of opposition as he has used derogatory words against the dress worn by Swamijis of Hindu maths.

Speaking in a press conference, Swamiji said, “This campaign is organized by the federation of Swamijis of maths of backward classes. If Siddaramaiah has guts let him use the same language against the Christian priests or Muslim Maulvis. None of the swamijis of Karnataka have spoken anything on the Hijab controversy. But Siddaramiah has questioned the dress code of Swamijis.”

Pranavananda Swamiji also said that Siddaramaiah, who has insulted the swamijis should resign from his post immediately. He does not have the right to speak about the Peta (head dress) of swamijis. On April 2, a delegation of Swamijis will meet Rahul Gandhi in Delhi and appeal to keep Siddaramaiah away for the survival of the Congress party.
