Probe into traffic mismanagement during Yogi's swearing-in

Lucknow, Mar 27 (IANS): The Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Mukul Goel has initiated a probe into the traffic mismanagement in Lucknow during the oath taking ceremony of the new government.

Union Minister Amit Shah was forced to walk to the venue for a short distance because of the traffic jam and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached the venue 15 minutes late due to the same treason.

BJP leader Uma Bharti missed the function because she was caught in a traffic snarl.

The DGP has summoned Lucknow Police Commission D.K. Thakur to know the reason for this mismanagement despite adequate preparations.

Sources said that a few heads were likely to roll once the probe is completed.
