Mangaluru, Mar 27: MLA Vedavyas Kamath expressed anguish over deputy leader of opposition of legislative assembly and MLA U T Khader and ridiculed that Khader, who has worked as a minister, should have minimum knowledge.

Khader had earlier given a statement in which he said that contractors of all BJP MLAs of Mangaluru are Muslims. But for the sake of politics they oppose Muslims.

MLA Kamath said, “There are definite laws and rules to give works and contracts to the government. Khader, who has worked as minister, should have this minimum knowledge. All tenders above Rs 5 lac are done through e-tender in MCC. All works of MUDA and PWD are done through e-tender. Whoever has the eligibility will get the work."

“When I went on a foreign tour six or seven years ago, my Muslim businessmen friends had put an advertisement in newspaper wishing me 'Bon Voyage.' Who owns all the companies in Dubai? I have to go there for business. When I go there as an exporter I need the system that is prevalent there. When I export to 40 or 50 countries, I have to follow the business system of those countries. I know with whom I am dealing.”
