Mangalore: Beary Sahitya Academy Holds Talent Contest for School Children

Mangalore, Jan 27: State Beary Sahitya Academy organized a talent contest for students of primary and High School level at Badriya Pre-university College here on Thursday January 27.


Inaugurating the competition, Dayavathi, block education officer, Mangalore said that the talent of students should not be limited to school level alone. Most of the students shy away from performing on stage after they complete school education which should not happen. The confidence level and the utilization of one’s talent should continue throughout life, she stressed.

Academy president M B Abdul Rahman presided. Muslim Central Committee chief secretary Haneef  Haji was the chief guest for the occasion. Academy members K A Khalidh, Abduk Razak and P Muhammad were present on the dais.

Badriya College principal Dr N Ismail distributed prizes to the winners. Academy registrar Chandrahas Rai welcomed the gathering. Academy member Hamza malar compered the programme.

    But to say whether it is Islamic or unislamic, I really wonder if you have the authority or the knowledge to say so.

    It is a talent contest, not dancing in front of the crowd. I am happy and congratulate the Beary Sahitya Academy for developing the skills of the students for their future betterment

    I think these kind of programs are unislamic. Women are not suppose dance in front of crowd (mainly men). Beary Academy should desist conducting this kind of programs.

    I am proud to say that I have studied in this School. Others may de-grade the school but for me it will be always special since the Education given to me from this school made me proud. The Teachers in this School were outstanding

    congratulations!reading the news and looking at the photos, I felt very happy. only thing is that ,we Konkani people cannot read the literature and we have no opportunity to attend the programme
