Bengaluru, Mar 29: In a faux pas which embarrassed the leaders of the Congress at a programme organized on the occasion of taking over charge as the head of the state Congress campaign committee by M B Patil on Monday March 28 the picture of a BJP leader appeared among the photos of the Congress leaders which adorned the LED display on the stage.

The programme was organized on a grand scale at the palace ground here. State Congress in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala, leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president K Shivakumar, and leader of the opposition in the assembly, Siddaramaiah, were among the leaders who attended the programme.

At the event, it was noticed that the photo of former chief minister of Karnataka and currently a BJP leader, S M Krishna, was displayed on the screen put up on the dais. The leaders apparently were upset at the fact that the picture of a BJP leader sneaked onto its screen at such an elaborate programme.
