Mangalore: Prayog Season – 2, Unique Treat for Dance Lovers

Mangalore, Jan 28: If you are a dance lover, here’s an exclusive show for you to rock and roll. Mangalore Excellent Dance Academy presents ‘Prayog Season – 2’ at Pegasus Ground (Green Pavilion) on Saturday February 5 at 6.30 pm.

‘Prayog Season – 2’ will turn out to be the biggest dance bonanza of all times. It is a fun-filled show packed with dance, music, DJ, food, drink, comedy, all of which can be enjoyed in a single night. The Academy students will entertain the crowd with some of the greatest foot-tapping numbers.

The audience can witness the magical dance performances of some of the well-known dancers of the Academy including the rocking ‘Chak Dhoom Dhoom contestant’ Cyrus. As many as 200 students between the age group of 4 to 27 will perform in the event.

During the past couple of years Mangalore has been traumatized by a few disturbing events which have dented the image of the city which was always known for its unity and peace-loving city. Through the medium of dance and music, the Mangalore Dance Academy has made a small effort to entertain the people in their own special way.

The organizers of Prayog Season – 2 are Sandesh Jhanvi, Kiran, Guru, Anand Prabhu, Malvika Sheka,  Nishith, Shahid, Yassar Ibrahim, Rekha Shetty, Calvina, Maithri Malli, Nirmala Monis, Rosy Wong, and Preema.

About Mangalore Excellent Dance Academy (MEDA)

The Academy was launched and flourished under the artistic direction and professional expertise of Sandesh Jhanvi, the master choreographer. Sandesh Jhanvi’s tryst with dance began in 1,999 and the academy emerged from being a tiny dance school to being one of the largest dance academies of Karnataka having more than 500 students of various age groups (3 to 50 years).

The training is being offered in western, classical, Indian, Jive, Jazz, Rock and Folklore. MEDA is one among the few dance schools to perform at the national level with renowned masters and TV channels like Sony, MTV, ETV, Udaya TV, Surya TV and Zee Kannada.

Season – 1 of Prayog, a dance competition was a huge hit. Final contestants were chosen from toughest auditions. The finale which was held at Nehru Maidan was a wholesome entertainment for Mangaloreans. Season – 2 of Prayog too promises unlimited fun and entertainment.
