Madikeri: Govt not to interfere in Halal meat controversy - Minister B C Nagesh

Daijiworld Media Network – Madikeri (MS)

Madikeri, Mar 31: Education minister B C Nagesh said that eating or not eating Halal cut meat is left to the people. Government will not interfere in this matter, he said.

Speaking in the city on Thursday, March 31, Nagesh said, “Halal is a religious custom of Muslims. It does not fall under the purview of government. Only two days ago people came to know what Halal is, when the same was flashed on media. There is no point in meddling in matters which are not under the control of the government.

“Those who does not mind Halal meat will take the same from such shops. Those who do not want Halal meat will buy meat from other shops. This is done by the public and not us. This matter was raked up by the public. People have the right to take up any issue that is bothering them under the democratic government system. This matter was not highlighted by any political party or government,” he said.

I am a big supporter of BJP .... but now a days I don't like their divide and rule policies. Everytime they come with new issues and try to build a wall between communities for their vote bank politics... Here people has to think before they react.. Remember no family members of Political leader come and die for their caste or religion ... STOP PLAYING WITH INNOCENT PEOPLE'S EMOTIONS..

Halal and non halal meat is same.Nothing extra added or removed. And nobody is forcing non muslims to eat it. It is compulsory obligation for muslim to eat halal meat .Slaughtering of animal is different style .There is a particulr jugular vein which doesn’t hurt the animal as it makes them feel numb so while slaughtering that they just take Almighty’s name , so that sacrificial animal leave the world peacefully. Halal is something to do with spirituality and showing mercy to a slaughtered animal. Halal means it is allowed.Haraam means it is prohibited. Hope this helps.

It looks like our education minister is having some good and better knowledge. It is left to the people whether it is Halal or Zatka. According to their taste they take. How Government involve in this ??. Hindu BJP members can stop eating halal and visiting Muslims Restaurants. That's all.

The Karnataka Govt is just wasting time harassing Minorities and depriving the few rights that the Minorities enjoyed in the country. Anytime they want to harass Christians, they will raise the Bogie of Conversions. Nothing but headlines management to divert attentions of people from burning issues being faced by them in every day life

The minister or chief minister had to do this statement as the Indian meat getting exported to the middle east has Halal typed on the packet or it is sold as Halal in supermarkets. Hijab does not have an export price but meat does have an export price. So the education minister is clarifying while CM is pondering how to get out of the statement he made yesterday

Trying to wash hands and to be safe in front with this type of statement. As a ministers in power you should have guts to say openly no one should oppose about haalal meat. Now the ruling party ministers showing tears of crocodile in front but back side supporting goonda raj. Anyway people have choice to buy and eat which meat to eat. In this world God created us and je will show us to get our livelihood.
