Udupi, Jan 29: ‘The Beach Fest should be celebrated every year, said District in- charge Minister Dr V S Acharya while inaugurating the beach feast at Malpe beach, here on Saturday, January 29.

 Dr Acharya was the chief gust of the two- day beach festival. He also assured of the government aid for the beach fest.
 
The dry fish vendors association organized dry fish delicacies which was the main attraction on the occasion. Fun and frolic was in the air as the beach games such as beach volleyball, throw ball, kabbadi and cycle race were held during the first day.

MP, D V Sadhananda Gowda , MLA Ragupathi Bhatt, municipal corporation president Sudhakar Shetty, city municipal concil president Kiran Kumar, vice-president Bharati Chandrashekar, Udupi Municipal Commissioner Gokul das Nayak and beach committee president Yashpal Suvarna among others were present on the occasion.
