After Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, advocates raise voice against 'communal divide' in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Apr 2 (IANS): A day after Biocon chief Kiran Mazumdar Shaw raised her voice against the 'growing communal exclusion' in Karnataka in the form of halal ban and ban on non-Hindu merchants in temple premises and religious fairs, more people are coming out against what they see as growing communal divide in the southern state.

A team of senior advocates on Friday lodged a complaint with the DGP and IG, Praveen Sood, and the Bengaluru Police Commissioner, Kamal Pant, against some Hindu leaders for allegedly spreading hatred.

Buoyed by the favourable statements of the leaders of the ruling party, the Hindu leaders have given call to boycott all halal products, they said.

The vigilante groups have started to hit the streets, circulating hand bills urging Hindus not to buy halal products. Srirama Sena has gone one step further and announced that Muslim merchants should be banned until they stop eating beef, they said.

The delegation led by senior advocates A.P. Ranganath, Jagadish Kumar and others met Kamal Pant and submitted a complaint against the Hindu leaders for allegedly spreading hatred in the society.

Pant has been urged to take action against Hindu leaders Prashanth Sambargi, Puneeth Kerehalli and Kaali Swamy, among others.

As per the complaint, few individuals and organisations are spreading hatred in Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Udupi, Davanagere, Tumakuru, Belagavi and Kalaburagi districts along with other cities in the state. They are threatening Muslim merchants, which is creating a disturbing situation in the state, they said.

On Thursday, Shaw had stated that if communal exclusion is extended to the IT-BT sector, India would lose its global leadership. She also urged Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai to act in this regard.

The BJP and the RSS in Karnataka are only wasting time on communal issues to divide society. B0mmai is trying to compete with Yogi to communalise the State of Karnataka. No worry about the future of the state or. its people. This Govt will go down in History as the Govt only had indulged in Harassing the Minorities

A bhakth here asks 'why the so called intellectuals are quiet when Hindus are persecuted. ' My suggestion to him is don't shoot the messenger. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw and the advocates have raised a very serious issue and it is for the government and citizens to sit up and ponder as to what is happening in this peace loving state and nation. The writing is on the wall and if we don't wake up and take remedial measures, the nation will be ruined. We have had enough of all this nonsense and no patriotic Indian would support the way the government is abetting the atrocities that are going on in this country. As Indians all of us should set aside our communal affiliations and think about the country. We should not lose sight of the fact that all this is initiated by the politicians and if we are interested in the welfare of this nation, we should boycott the call given by these unscrupulous politicians and dump them. We should become desh bhakths and stop being bhakths of any political party or person.

Bommai is the leader for this hatred. Both Eshwarappa and Bommai need to resign from the position then this communal violence will definitely stop. Why CM not taling any action on those goons who are spreading hatred? If CM is not a part of action then he is favour of this dirty politics.

Why are no voices raised by the so called intellectuals when many Hindus are persecuted in our own country in so many other states of our country? Where do their voices go when anti-hindu agenga is being run with the support of the khangress & the leftists?? Do you think everyone is so dumb as to not understand all this? Pejawar Shri has rightly asked them to come back for talks only after rectifying their flaws & misdeeds...

Unemployment, fuel , basic commodities prices and inflation rate accelerating without control. Govt Asstes getting sold day by day, intrnational debt incresed with record highest and current govt indulging in dividing communities. God know where we heading towards.

@Moshu.. This Government is selling all government assests to it's close friend for 2 main reason. 1) To indirectly abolish quota jobs and deny the access to job of depressed class. They can't directly abolish quota sysyem as they know it will backfire them hence doing it indirectly 2) To receive poll and party funding from its 2 close friend Adami and Ambani. People have turned so blind due to communal cancer in their blood that they can't see their own ruin.

Only solution Muslims should not caste their votes... In other words Muslims should boycott elections... Today if the government is questioned about dropping GDP finger is pointed towards “Hijab” If asked about rising prices of construction materials answer from other end will be “Beef” If the government is questioned about rising fuel prices government comes with “Pakistan” If the government is questioned about the rising prices of gas then Modi government comes with “Hindu Youth Killings” Muslims can change the rule of the game...by boycotting elections... Many innocent lives can be saved and we can leave peacefully... BJP will be forced to quit hindutva agenda

80% of population in India is Hindus 15% Muslims. 2% Christians. 15% Muslim votes is divided between BSP, SP, NCP, PDP, RJD, Bijju Janatha Dal, JDS, JDU, TMC, CPI, CPM, YSR Congress, TRS, TDP. DMK, AIADMK, Muslim League, SDPI, Owaisi etc etc. After all these parties gets their share, I don't think Congress gets even 1% of Muslim votes. On the other hand BJP gets the lion share in Hindu votes in the name of Pakistan, Beef, Burkha, Hijab, Temple, Mosque, Conversion etc etc, Ask any BJP leader about Budget, Fiscal Deficit, Economy. I bet they have no clue whatsoever. BJP is winning the elections just by dividing the people by religion. If Muslims boycott the elections BJP then has to think about rising fuel prices, GDP, farmers etc etc. At present because of Muslim agenda its a cake walk for BJP.
