Dubai, Jan 30 : With the mission of KUMOKH (Kallianpur Milagreans United Mission Offering Knowledge & Help), the fest organized by Milagres Kallianpur UAE on 28th Friday 2011 at Siemens Club Dubai turned out to be an Exciting & Grand event.

A large crowd of around 400 Milagreans, Well wishers & Friends along with their families & relatives participated in this fest and experienced an authentic "Vodlem Fest" like the one back home. Due to the unexpected Sand storm the crowd missed the initial part of the entertainment but the high Spirits & Support of the crowd kept the show going and regained the lost pace.

Mr. Melwyn Lewis (Animator MGAD) welcomed the crowd and in his speech reminded that "Milagreans have always conducted programmes for noble causes to help the needy. There are many who need our support but we may not be able to do something very great, but will surely do little that can get a smile back on their faces." The Proceeds of this Event shall be used towards initiating a “Scholarship / Aid in need fund” that would be a ray of hope to all those needy people back home.

All sponsors, who contributed generously for this event, were felicitated and Ms. Flavia Mathais thanked all the sponsors on behalf of Milagreans Gulf Association Dubai. They were also presented with a Memento for their continued support to Milagreans in their noble cause.

The famous Indo Srilankan Band in town "Simple" entertained the crowd with various English, Konkani, Hindi numbers and kept them on the floor. The sizzling dances performed by the well known Bollywood dance troupe “SS group” added glamour to the event. They danced to well known Bollywood numbers and the jaw dropping final Hip hop performance by the Group left the crowd spellbound.

Lucky Dip & Housie Housie were conducted towards the end of the program and left the crowd winning Expensive prizes like Blackberry mobile sets, LCD Tvs to name a few. The kids were kept busy by a number of stall games and lots of spot prizes were given away to the crowd gathered.

It was a great opportunity to meet all the fellow Milagreans, relatives and friends and share the joy of the occasion. Milagreans Kallianpur Dubai expressed happiness on the success of event even after the initial havoc created by the sand storm and promised to conduct more such events in future, and give in return to our home town for the various opportunities given to us to grow in life.

The special attraction of the day was the "COMBO DRAW" which was won by Mr. Manjunath Kotian an ex Milagrean. Various auctions were conducted towards fund raising which received a good response from the Gathering.

Mr. Jason Correa the President of Milagreans Gulf Association Dubai compered the program and all members contributed equally towards the success of the Event.

It was indeed an extraordinary event that got back the true Milagrean spirit and emotions of the Milagres Vodlem Fest.

Thank you dear Milagreans, friedns & well wishers for making "Milagres Festh" a successful event inspite of the initial turmoil created by mother Nature . Indeed it was a miracle of Mother Milagres who pushed away the storm and cleared the skies for us to proceed with the event. I am thankful to our Sponsors, our well wishers, members and all the websites especially www.daijiworld.com and their team for the support & publicity given to us.
It was a wonderful experience to host such a event and i hope guests who attended the function equally enjoyed it. Thank You One and All.
