Karkala: Cattle thieves brandish swords, forcefully lift calf in luxury car

Daijiworld Media Network – Karkala (MS)

Karkala, Apr 3: Cattle theft has risen its ugly head once again in the taluk. Cows were stolen in a filmatic style by miscreants brandishing swords. The incident took place at around 2.45 AM on Sunday, April 3.

The cows were inside the Vidya Saraswati Mandir campus of Banglegudde near here. Cow theft is going on unabated in the city without any fear of the police. Thieves are using luxurious cars to transport the stolen cattle.

The workers of Hindu organizations have expressed their anguish at the failure of the BJP government in preventing cattle theft. Few Hindu organisation workers had found out about cattle theft two days ago in broad daylight. The cattle were being transported in an Omni with fake number plates. But the vehicle managed to escape by a whisker.

Now a second incident has been reported in the wee hours of Sunday. Workers of Hindu organizations have alleged lack of control by the police department.

Time has come to get weaponed with a licence when someone comes with a swords to shoot immediately either on their vehicle or persons leg.Everywhere somebody larges in house and go away with money and jewellers..How can woman alone in house defend herself?Self defence is need of the hour. Why should people steal someones cattle ,who they reared with love and money offered time ,simply take away by force? That I am sure is not Halal .and not right.I simply say please dont do that .Let people eat what they want ,because you dot eat it ,dont make problem to others or dictate others. One eats vegetable or cowdung is his wish.

Same sword can be used to halal calf as well as those that own calf. Luxury car's involvement only goes to show the demand for halal beef. Lifting other's property is halal or haraam?

The result will be expected when people are desperate under dictators when they forced what to eat and what not to eat...Demand for meat is high in Ramazan.chicken and basic edible prices soaring day by day. The law has impacted lives, livelihoods and the diet of marginalised communities, who are the main consumers of beef. Lift the ban in order to make easy for consumption and to stop theft.

What dictatorship are you talking about? Very common to see people playing victim card these days instead of condemning the action of the culprits. A man with ethics and morale will never go on a wrong path.

These cattle thieves are surely associated with the people in power and keep acting with impunity. Until they are caught and punished mercilessly this is not going to stop. Stealing cattle is become a lucrative business with connections at all levels. The government and the administration doesn't show the will to stop this menace instead busy with stupid priorities in deviding the society.

I am sure that there is a possible big nexus between these thieves and maybe with organisations/department. Its a source of good money for everybody. If something like this needs to be stopped, it can only be done with honesty and tough law provisions
