Karkala: One arrested in connection to cow theft near Bhajana Mandir

Karkala, Apr 4: The stealing of cows that occurred on the wee hours of Sunday, April 3 near Sri Vidyasaraswathi Bhajana Mandir at Sadbhavana Nagar of Kasaba, is recorded on a nearby CCTV. Police have arrested one person in this connection.

At around 2.50 am on April 3 three people arrived in white colour luxury car from Banglegudde and parked the car near Bhajana Mandir. Then they forcefully put a black coloured cow, which was sitting near the Bhajana Mandir, in the car and sped off in the direction of Pattonjikatte. The whole act was recorded on CCTV.

A case was registered in Karkala city police station as per the complaint filed by Surendra Nayak, president of Bhajana Mandir. Police arrested an accused, native of Moodbidri, based on the CCTV footage.

DySP Vijayaprasad, circle inspector Sampath Kumar guided the operation in which sub inspector Prasanna and personnel of crime branch were involved.

The CCTV footage of the cow being forcefully put inside the car went viral on social media.

    Please stop beef export from India. BJP Govt. should take strong action and catch those rich guys who are exporting beef and its leather outside India and have spoiled our country name by largest beef exporting country. These are small cow thieves and will be stopped once big thieves are caught.
