Kundapur, Apr 5: One person was killed and three others suffered injuries in an accident at Manur, Kota NH 66 between an Eicher vehicle and a two wheeler on Tuesday, April 5.

The Eicher vehicle heading towards Kundapur from Mangaluru had broken down and stopped near Manur Bobbarya Katte, in between NH 66. Three riders travelling on the same bike from Kota to Kumbashi rammed into the parked Eicher vehicle in between a bus moving in the same direction.

One of the bike riders who was critically injured in the impact of the accident has succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. The deceased is identified as Prasanna Devadiga.

The other two bike riders have suffered serious injuries. The Eicher vehicle driver also is injured. They have been shifted in Kota Jeevan Mitra ambulance to Koteshwar private hospital.

A case in this connection is registered at Kota police station.
