Mangaluru: Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy president Rahim Uchil removed from post

Mangaluru, Apr 6: The state government has reportedly released an order removing Rahim Uchil from his post as the president of Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy.

The reason behind his dismissal has not been stated.

The under-secretary of the Kannada and Culture Department reportedly released the aforementioned order of dismissal on Tuesday April 5.

Reacting to the development, Uchil said, “I am not aware of the reason behind the dismissal. Only after receiving the order did I come to know about my dismissal. The party has helped me to remain the president twice. I am happy to have carried out my responsibility.”
