Karnataka adds 33 fresh Covid cases, positivity rate at 0.23 percent

Bengaluru, Apr 6: Karnataka on Wednesday, April 6 registered 33 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 1,415. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 28.

One death due to coronavirus was reported in the state on Wednesday, the death toll in the state has risen to 40,056.

The state recorded 85 discharges from hospitals on Wednesday, taking the total discharges to 39,04,247.

So far, Karnataka has seen 39,45,760 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.23% while the case fatality rate for the day is 3.03 %.

As many as 10,44,02,350 people have received vaccination so far.
