Bengaluru: Halal meat controversy – Minister B C Nagesh says ‘C T Ravi not part of govt’

Bengaluru, Apr 7: Primary and secondary education minister B C Nagesh said that C T Ravi is not part of the government and any statement given by him should not be considered as opinion of the state BJP government.

Responding to query of scribes on statement given by C T Ravi asking Hindus not to buy Halal meat, Nagesh said, “None of the state BJP government ministers have given any statement asking the public not to buy Halal meat or eat only Jatka cut meat.

“If C T Ravi has given any statement, he has done so as a citizen of India as he is not part of state BJP government. Buying and eating meat is personal choice of public,” he said.

    First of all I appreciate the statement given by Education Minister to block the tongue of CT Ravi to gain a minority vote in coming State election. Secondly where is Health Minister why he keep mom on this communal issue which belongs to his department. There may be some " DAAL MEY KAALA HAI"

    Halal ban call by BJP goons has back fired. More hindus were found in front of the muslim shops than hindu shops. Meat eaters know very well that muslims slaughter a live animal unlike others who may sell even dead/sick animals. Upon realising that their ban call was ignored by meat eaters, quietly BJP is passing the blame on CT Ravi and distancing itself to save the face.
