Apr 7: DK, Udupi districts districts report two Covid 19 cases each

Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 7: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, Apr 7, reported one coronavirus case while Udupi too registered one case.

The total number of positive cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,491 out of which 6 are currently active.

One patient was discharged from hospitals on Thursday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,280 as fine in 96,206 mincidents of mask violation.

Udupi

One case was reported on Thursday. The total active Covid case have risen to one.

One patient was discharged from hospitals on Thursday.

Udupi taluk reported 1 case, Kundapura 0 and 0 case in Karkala.

A total of 10,80,517 people have received first dose of vaccination and 1024553 have received both doses and 57,176 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
