Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 8: Dakshina Kannada on Friday, Apr 8, reported two coronavirus cases while Udupi registered zero cases.

The total number of positive cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,493 out of which 8 are currently active.

No patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,280 as fine in 96,206 mincidents of mask violation.

Udupi

No cases were reported on Friday. The total active Covid case have risen to one.

A total of 10,80,766 people have received first dose of vaccination and 1024899 have received both doses and 57,792 people have received booster dose.
