Bengaluru: Communal dangal eyes streets – Muslim named roads, circles to be 'safffronised'?

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Apr 12: Though the BJP high command recently asked chief minister Bommai to concentrate on good governance and development of infrastructure, it seems the advice has fallen on deaf ears.

The religious divide systematically spreading in the state, which started from Hijab and propagated through Halal cut meat, banning of Muslim traders in Hindu temple fairs, banning of Muslim drivers on Hindu pilgrimages, has now entered the next phase. Rumous are rife that the roads and circles in the city that bear Muslim names will be renamed the Yogi way in Uttar Pradesh.

It is learnt that BJP MLAs and other local body representatives are planning this change. Internal information is already conveyed on the subject to the BBMP officials. Official announcements are likely to be made soon. After a host of campaigns, the Hindutva bodies had started exerting pressure on the government to change the names,

It is said that Tipu Sultan Palace Road at Mekhri Circle, Inayutullah Mekri Road, Tipu Circle on Anjanapura main road, Mohammed Saabpaalya of Vidyaranyapura, Jamia Masjid Road, Mubarak Road, Bilal Nagar of Shantinagar, Sultanpalya of R T Nagar, Yarab Nagara of Banashankari, Bismillah Nagar of Gurappana Palya, Ilyas Nagar and Tipu Nagar on Mysuru Road will be renamed.

Brilliant tactics by the political leaders to keep the general public busy with religious drama while life becomes miserable due to rising prices and unemployment. Safffronism has become a full time job for these idiots. Human life has no value to these political goons. Who cares if the road/circles has Hindu, Muslim or a Christian name. Will these idiots demolish their houses if they come to know that other religion laborers were involved the house construction?

It looks like once again we will go back as a nation from all the progress made over the past years... Strong and robust economy needs equally resilient social fabric... Narrow minded forces are taking center stage once again... This is clearly a very bad signal...

Some times our Ideas as Lofty as we think is nt it ? We better take some time to re-think them honestly and purely for the sake of our own Country as well as our poor People who dwell in it without any kind of voice or issues ! Why not we spend some time to forget all these things and waste our real good time and remain quiet and allow the things that happened in the past for the sake of our Worthy God given Land ? Let us Praise God for the things that He has given us !!! This is my Honest Submission to Every one ! Let us Live and let Live for Gods Sake !

Rename everything after Ambani/Adani. Ambanipalya, Adani Road. Kannadigas love to serve North Indian masters. Yeddy actually had guts to stand up to these people and they booted him out, called him corrupt sarkar in front of huge gathering and acted as if it was slip of tongue.

What's new. We elect governments only to 'change' names of streets, circles, toilets, bus stops. Aur yeh government ke paas koi kaam dhanda hai nahi na. Dharm aur jaati ka Dhanda Hai || Yahan Pada likha bhi andha hai || Vikas ke naam pe aam aadmi ko mila anda hai :) ;) ;)

Good move. As long as citizens enjoying cake walk for you. But kindly think before harassing common people for the sake of power nothing is permanent in this world. What Ukraine yesterday & what Today. This message is for both the citizens of the state & the rulers of the state.

Muslim name roads with strong backing of history that has to do with an identity which is non-controversial can remain. Aurangzeb Road changed to APJ Abdul Kalam is right. Roads and monuments named after Tipu Sultan is right in that part of India we let go for the formation of Pakistan. But if there are real contributors through their contributions including Padma Shri Harekala Hasanabba (I know there is no road or anything named after him), then it is not OK. Congress has made many deliberate mistakes through their appeasement politics (inspired by complete whitewashing of history)and by outsourcing their responsibility consequently to few mullahs during their rule. If there is going to be course correction, welcome it. Tippu and any name rhyming with that should have been erased long ago. Better late than never I always say.
