Mangaluru: Youth stabbed by four-member gang after argument over girl

Mangaluru, Apr 13: A youth was stabbed by a four-member gang near the mosque here in Mukkachery under Ullal police station limits late evening on Tuesday April 12.

The youth who was stabbed is identified as Al-Sadeen (24) from Mastikatte. The four-member gang attempted to murder the youth by stabbing him in the back with a knife. He was admitted to a hospital in Deralakatte.

It is said that all of them knew each other and were friends. A minor scuffle and argument ensued among themselves over the matter of a girl after which the incident took place.

Several cases are filed against the victim in Ullal police station earlier. It is said that, earlier, a case was filed against him for attempting to vandalise a police vehicle belonging to Ullal police station.

Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar, ACP Dinakar Shetty, Ullal police station officer Sandeep visited the victim at the hospital. An investigation is on.
