Canada: Canara World Presents 'Claud Show' on May 7

Mississauga, Feb 4: Canara World Foundation is proud to announce its 7th annual Canara Kala Saanz. Due to an overwhelming request to bring Claud D’Souza to perform again in Canada after his maiden performance in 2008, Canara World Foundation and its organizers are delighted to present him at the “Claud Show 2011” in our annual event Canara Kala Saanz.  This show will be held at The PCSS Auditorium, Mississauga on Saturday, May 7th 2011.

Claud D’Souza, master showman will display through his unique style his medley of singing and acting prowess. Claud D’Souza popularly called as the Baila King will surely make you sway to his foot tapping music and songs. The event will be fun filled with participation of local musicians, singers, dancers and actors along with authentic Mangalorean food stalls. 

Claud D’Souza was an integral part of the legendary Konkan Kogul Wilfy Rebimbus’ group.  He started off his musical career in this group by playing musical instruments in 1984, and so far he has conducted 46 nites, written more than 600 songs and 30 stage plays.  He is also a member of the United Youngsters, Mangalore a group formed by like minded musicians, singers and artists. Claud D’Souza, was conferred the prestigious Canara Kala Sanketh award in Canada in 2008.  This award is presented by Canara World Foundation Inc.to outstanding contribution by an individual to the Konkani music, drama and culture.

Canara Kala Saanz has been leading the way in harnessing and portraying the talents of our ethnic origin community members living in Canada.  During this event, CWF will also be awarding the prestigious Canara Champion of the year award and the Excellence in Education award.     I hats off to Canara World Foundatin for their effort. Mr.Claud is  a great singer with a unique voice at the same time i would like to suggestMr.Rony D'cunha to the Organisers. I  am sure he will Rock in Canada if you give a chance to him. So please think about Mr.Rony D'cunha next time atleat.Wish you all the best to your function.

    Dearest SIR Claud Baab...when you started singing on the stages, I was a kid and peeping from the crowd with fear and happiness and always thought of my success a day on the stage to sing like you. "I've always made a total effort, even when the odds seemed entirely against me. I never quit trying I never felt that I didn't have a chance to win and I won Claud Baab." I got more impressed and you became my one N only Guru from our beloved Bendur church. Oh my music Guru..TUJE MERE DIL SE SALAAM. All the best and Keep one more feather on your head SIR.
