Mangaluru: Bus-bike accident, fire mishap at Hampankatta – Driver arrested

Mangaluru, Apr 15: Traffic East police arrested the driver, who jumped red signal, crashed on to a bike which caused fire and burnt the bus, putting the lives of bike rider as well as passengers in the bus in danger, on April 8, at Hampankatta in the city.

Biju Monu is the driver who is under police custody now. A case of negligence of driver is registered against him and is produced in the court. He is remanded to judicial custody till April 26.

Route No 45G bus that was approaching Hampankatta from Jyoti Circle stop, driven by accused Biju Monu and bike driven by Dylon (26), employee of a chartered accountant’s office in Valencia collided with each other and both the vehicles were gutted in fire. Bike rider Dylon received grievous injuries on his leg in this accident.

    He lost control because vaccum pipes got melted. Because of his conciousness he suddenly realized to use hand break. So he saved all people from bus as well as from road. Otherwise everyone would lost life from bus. Mistake happened true. But he saved many lives too. And bus burnt driver side. So all pipes wires got melted and no break . Going high speed main responsible conductor. Always "poi poi... Thorpi thorpi...." . Even owner also responsible. Why he is not telling his conductor driver to follow rules. For him only money is important. Not human life. Let them drive anyway, let anything happen...for him he need collection end of the day.

    Arrest him for Murder ... Suspend licence atleast for a Year....... These Surathkal bound buses are seen to be driven recklessly.... Police in plain Clothes should be deputed at places to pull up these Rouge elements... Till then...God Save Us All....

    One good thing is no lives were lost.Now take out of this accident ,a hard decision and cancel his drivers licence.Otherwise they will never learn.Hope the rest injured one are on the way to good health.
