Udupi: FCI godown’s compound wall inviting danger on Manipal-Perampalli Road

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (MS/HB)

Udupi, Apr 15: The asphaltization of Manipal-Perampalli road is complete and vehicle movement has started on this stretch. However, there is unscientific bend on this road which invites danger to commuters.

According to traffic rules, either a sign board or mirror needs to be installed at bends to alert the drivers. However, no such sign board or mirror is placed at the compound wall of Food Corporation of Indian (FCI) godown that is on the middle of this stretch of road.

Though the compound wall of FCI comes in between the work that is just completed, the concerned contractor has not taken any action on it and has left the sign board there itself.

There is high possibility of accident at this spot, especially during night time. The concerned officials have to take action on this unscientific spot on the road to avert any loss of life.
