Vijayapura: Why should Eshwarappa be arrested? – former CM Kumaraswamy

Daijiworld Media Network – Vijayapura (MS)

Vijayapura, Apr 17: “What did Congress, which is urging the government to arrest former minister Eshwarappa, do when they were in power? What will you do if Eshwarappa is arrested?” questioned former CM H D Kumaraswamy taunting at Congress, which is demanding the arrest of former minister Eshwarappa on the accusation of abetting suicide of contractor Santhosh Patil.

Kumaraswamy continued his jibe at Congress and said, “Congress is holding a politically inspired fight to arrest Eshwarappa. As they do not have any other agenda, they have targeted Eshwarappa and are on the streets fighting for his arrest,” he said.

“Did the then CM Siddaramaiah resign when Kallappa Handibaga, police officer of shepherd community killed himself? Was the home minister of that time arrested? Congress and BJP are two sides of the same coin.

It is really laughable that Congress, which was quiet when BJP was disturbing the communal harmony in the state, is protesting at nine districts in the state. Everyone knows the amount of corruption and scams that have taken place during the five-year rule of Congress in Karnataka under Siddaramaiah,” Kumaraswamy charged.
