During my school vacations, I used to play in Kaup beach as my father's house was just next to the Lighthouse. During those days the river which joins the sea near Lighthouse used to be deep and it used to pass through those rocks. I used to climb the other rock though it does not have any steps. Those days at the time of Ramponi (manual fishing)we used to pick fish from the net and run as fishermen used to chase us to keep us at a distance so that they do the sorting of the fish from the net. Sometimes they used to call us and give fish to us just like that. If the fishermen noticed any elderly people also they used to give fish to them for free. Though money was very valuable, people were very generous those days. I miss all those. I don't think the present generation have time for all those fun!
