Mangalore: Renovated Office of Information Department Inaugurated

Mangalore, Feb 7: The renovated office of the information department was inaugurated by district-in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar on Monday, February 7.

Speaking on the occasion he said that the state government had released Rs 9 lac for the development of the office. He also mentioned about the new vehicle provided for the information department and for reporters. Vishwanath Kodikal, contractor of the project and co-workers were felicitated by the minister.

The minister also said that grant will be provided to Mangalore Corporation in order to keep the city clean and green. After the formal function a press meet was held on census 2011. The minister appealed the public to support census team.

Assistant commissioner Prabhakar Sharma, PWD superintendent B S Balakrishna, zilla panchayat CEO Shivashankar; and Dr R Rangappa were present on the occasion. Pushparaj, reporter of Vartha Bharathi, compered the programme. K Rohini, information officer, proposed the vote of thanks.

    Mr.Palemar is right of spending 9 lacs by the govt.out of which 2 lacs for mr.yeddy 2 lacs for mr palemar ,and some few thousands amongst the lower staff members ..mera bharat mahaan

    Mr Palemar says that the state govt. has released Rs.9 lacs for the development of Information Dept Office. There is no need to make such silly announcement. Its a politician's pocket money. Its more than rediculous. This money is not enough for renovation of someone's personal house or flat. What can anyone do with just Rs. 9 lacs? The govt has been donating in crores to temples in Karnataka as well as Kerala as if its nobody's business. Can someone correct me if I am wrong?

    Better Krishna Palemar contninue his ribbon cutting business like Dr Oscarji than trying to transfer DFO UK Gokul who tried to do his work honestly as requested by Lokayukta Santosh Hegde....
