The total number of positive cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,503 out of which 5 are currently active.

One patient was discharged from hospitals on Wednesday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,480 as fine in 96,208 mincidents of mask violation.

Udupi

One case was reported on Wednesday. The total active Covid case is one.

No patient was discharged from hospitals on Wednesday.

Udupi taluk reported 0 case, Kundapura 1 and 0 case in Karkala.

A total of 10,82,437 people have received first dose of vaccination and 1026466 have received both doses and 62,241 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
