Kasargod, Apr 21: Police arrested a woman of Tamil Nadu origin, on the accusation of stealing cash from a car service centre at Manikkot of the city, in broad daylight.

Shivakami, resident of Gundalpete of Tamil Nadu is the arrested accused. She allegedly stole Rs 50,000 cash from the car service centre owned by Vinod. The cash was kept in a bag and the bag was kept in a separate room of the service center. Later the bag went missing.

When owner Vinod checked the CCTV footage, he was shocked to see a woman stealing the bag. The matter was informed to the police.

The police traced the woman to a group of nomads who live in Chervathur and arrested her within hours of the crime.

    Have heard that there is a gang of women in operating in Mangalore whose profession is stealing hailing from Tamil nadu.. They target homes when ladies are alone, first one comes asking for drinking water She whisltses and the rest follow to rob.. Also they are very sharp stealing from handbags in crowded buses.
