Kejriwal sounds AAP bugle in Karnataka, seeks vote for 'honest' govt

Bengaluru, Apr 21 (IANS): Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Admi Party (AAP) and Chief Minister of Delhi, addressed a huge gathering in Bengaluru on Thursday, where he urged the people of the state to vote for AAP if they want free education, healthcare, power and an 'honest' government.

Addressing a convention organised to announce the pact between the Karnataka State Farmers' Association and AAP, Kejriwal said: "AAP is not a party of gangsters and rapists. AAP runs an honest government."

Kejriwal also compared the attitude of the Centre on the now-repealed farm laws to the arrogance of Ravana, and congratulated the farmers for compelling the government to withdraw the agri laws.

"When the anti-corruption agitation was first launched at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi, politicians had mocked it and challenged us to come to power and deliver corruption-free governance. They also provoked the common man. But our government was formed in Delhi and then in Punjab, and now we have to form government in Karnataka," he said.

"The previous one was a 20 per cent (commission) government in Karnataka, the present one is a 40 per cent government. In Delhi, we have a corruption-free government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given a certificate of honesty to me as after successive raids at my house and office, they could not find anything. At least 20 MLAs of the party were also raided, but they could find nothing.

"I understand the pain of the common people. The government schools in Delhi are better than private schools. They have achieved 97.7 per cent results. These schools have swimming pools, auditoriums. At least four lakh children have shifted to government schools from private schools.

"If you want a similar magic in Karnataka, AAP has to come to power. Healthcare is free in Delhi. Power is free. How could we do it? It was made possible through honesty. The money which we saved through honesty suffices for all free services," he added.

The President of Karnataka State Farmers' Association, Kodihalli Chandrashekar, pledged the support of peasants to AAP. He also gave a call to farmers not to relent until AAP comes to power in the state.

AAP is another JDU of Nithish in the offerring. Delhi demolition happened, where was AAP? It was in TV studios calling it travesty of justice. Things does not happen in Delhi, then it is BJP or Lt. Governor. AAP knows how to manipulate middle class minds. It is showing a Delhi model like BJP showed Guj Model. There is nothing in it, except for marketing. Yes, there are certain things have got done in Delhi. To build a narrative, if nothing is done, then people will reject it outright. So, it is initial stage of building narrative. It will all go over time along with ethics. Politics and politicians, have no ethics today.

MY PREDICTION: I guess what Mr. Amit shah’s ‘mission 150’ is gettable it seems. After AAP’s entry into the state made my calculation proved to be right. Let’s take cast based votes, mostly muslims votes will be distributed between SDPI, congress, JDS and now AAP. Christians also the same Congress/JDS/AAP. If AAP fields in all 224 seats, they will not be able to win more than 2-3 seats. But definitely they will dent congress and JDS vote banks. Ultimately Congress’s tally will be reduced to not more than 50 and JDS will have to satisfy with 10. Of the 224, if you take out Congress+JDS (60) + AAP, SDPI etc (14) remainder is 150! Wow! This could be Chanakya’s calculations. Can we assume AAP is sponsored by BJP itself?

Mr. calculator, what makes you think BJPs vote share will not go to AAP. There are considerable people have switched from Congress and JDS to BJP due to corruption and loot blame games. Don’t think all Hindus are communal and all minorities are with congress and janatha dal. There are number of people from Muslim and Christian community supporting BJP.. many of them who are against corruption and communalism will prefer AAP. Don’t misjudge and mislead people for AAP to be a spoilsport. They have made a change in Delhi. Keep dirt politics aside and vote for peace and prosperity before secularism and development what BJP always blabbers about.

Karnataka needs alternative government to BJP and Congress. The 40 percent 10 percent government don't contribute to development. The rest of money also distributed to other agencies. Let people enjoy their due share in road education infrastructure and water and other services. Even current bill comes down. The recent tragedy is communalism and it created hate problem in humanity. So these people need retirement. AAP at present seems alternative to these government. We should not attached to any party and suffer for no reason. So there should be change of government every term

Nor surprising the crooked, anti-national AAP leader has got the correct friends in town! BTW, did the pseudo-common-man leader again visit the 5-star suite at Jindal Nature resort, at his state Govt expense, this time too?

Ask Anna Hazare how he feels about his agenda hijacked by IIT alumini in Kejriwal and how he conducts himself. With free water and electricity, he is preparing another SriLanka in Indraprastha. Next he will bankrupt Bakleeka alias Punjab. And I know there are those who have lost hope and want to get back at BJP at the expense of running the state into bankruptcy. Get some logic right, sometimes. The raga of RaGa was an accident year on year. Now raga of AlaaAP. No good news unfortunately there also.
