Harish Sherigar's ‘March 22’, two other movies bag Karnataka State Film Award

Bengaluru, Apr 21: ‘March 22’, Kannada movie by Harish Sherigar and Sharmila Sherigar has bagged the second best film award in the Karnataka State Film Awards for the year 2017.

The film awards programme for the 2017 series was not held for the last four years due to inevitable reasons. The awards will be presented in the presence of chief minister Basavaraj Bommai at Ravindra Kalakshetra in the evening on April 24.

The film ‘March 22’ is produced by Dubai’s ACME Movies International. The film has also received an award for the lyrics of song ‘Muthu Ratnada Pyate’ by J M Prahlad. Thus, the film has bagged two awards.

'Paddayi', a Tulu movie by film maker Abhay Simha has won the third best film award while Konkani movie 'Sophiya' by Janet Noronha has won the best regional film award.
