Dubai : Kapikad's Twin Tulu Plays Set to Entertain UAE Audience

Dubai, Feb 10 : Fans and supporters of Tulu dramas spread around UAE will get a rare opportunity to witness rib-tickling comedy plays by none other than extra-ordinary comedian, an actor par excellence, popular cine actor as well as stage artiste, writer-director , Karnataka Rajyostava Award – 2010 winner, Devdas Kapikad, and his ‘Cha Parka’ troupe.
After a gap of two years, Kapikad will be entertaining UAE's Tulu drama lovers with 'Badkud Orinda' and 'Gopala E Par Bala..' his recent plays that have proved to be mega hits.
Karnoor Mohan Rai, who has hosted over 1,000 shows of ‘Cha Parka’ troupe in Mumbai, will organize these shows in Dubai, in association with Tulu Koota Dubai, led by C R Shetty.
In the past, many people were disappointed, as they failed to get an opportunity to witness the Tulu plays due to the small capacity venues, and over booking of shows. Considering this fact, the organizers have booked Sheikh Rashid Auditorium Dubai, with an audience capacity of 1,500. The plays are scheduled to be staged on March 25, 2011.
The ‘Cha Parka’ troupe has just completed its glorious 25 years in the field of presenting Tulu plays worldwide. This will be 12th Gulf trip by the troupe. In the past, over 23 plays were staged in the gulf by this troupe.
