Udupi, Feb 13:
Kuthyaru Kenja Gururaj Tantri, chief priest of Yellur temple and veteran of Padoor Tantri lineage family passed away here on Sunday February 13, owing to brief illness.
 


Gururaj Tantri had served as chief priest in the neighbouring temples of Nadikoor, Kunjoor, Bennekudru, Bemorutty, Manibetti, Mulkady and others in his lifetime. 
 
He is survived by his wife, three sons including Vedumurti Sridar Tantri and five daughters.
 
Swami Laxmivarateerta of Pejavar Mutt, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade, local political leaders and heads of various temples condoled the untimely demise of Gururaj Tantri.
