Mangaluru/Udupi, May 1: Dakshina Kannada on Sunday, May 1, reported two coronavirus cases while Udupi registered one infection.
The total number of positive cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,512 out of which 7 are currently active.
One patient was discharged from hospitals on Sunday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.
The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.
So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.
Udupi
One case was reported on Sunday. The total active Covid case have risen to three.
No patient was discharged from hospitals on Sunday.
Udupi taluk reported 1 case, Kundapura 0 and 0 case in Karkala.
A total of 10,83,411 people have received first dose of vaccination and 1036359 have received both doses and 66,572 people have received booster dose.
A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
