Mangaluru, May 2: Mangaluru Police had an interaction session with Dr Shivarajkumar held at SCDCC bank on Monday May 2.
Hattrick hero Dr Shivrajkumar along with other dignitaries paid tribute to late Puneeth Rajkumar.
Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said, “Every member of the Rajkumar family are pearls. Rajkumar’s family is considered as the first family in Kannada cinema of Karnataka state, who has brought laurels in their profession and I am huge fan of Shivarajkumar.”
Dr Shivrajkumar said, “It has been 6 months since the demise of late Puneeth Rajkumar. However, the pain has not vanished yet and it will not vanish so easily not even with his fans. Since his birth he was a superstar. Apart from being an actor, dancer, he was a perfect example for humanity. We don’t like to remember Puneeth in this manner. Instead, we need to celebrate Puneeth.”
He also said, “I love Mangaluru. I have shot most of the movies in Mangaluru including Tagaru. I have a close bonding with police as I have played police characters in my movies and had tasted success. In the coming days, we will definitely celebrate Appu in Mangaluru."
At the same time he indicated that the second part of his hit movie Tagaru will mount the sets.
When asked about rowdies being glorified in movies, Dr Shivrajkumar said, ”It is a part of film which has certain phase. If rowdies do exist, then there is work for the police.”
Dr Shivarajkumar and Geetha Shivarajkumar were felicitated.
