Bengaluru, May 3: Amit Shah’s visit to state has given clue of major change in BJP government of Karnataka. It is said that BJP high command is thinking of creating (deputy chief minister) DCM posts again.
Amit Shah arrived to the city on the night of Monday itself. He will have discussion with party leaders on Tuesday in different levels. The high command is mulling of offering three to four DCM posts. The same will be discussed on Tuesday, as per party sources.
Shah will also have a dinner party at the official residence of chief minister (CM) Basavaraj Bommai. Members of cabinet, MLAs and even office bearers of BJP are invited for the dinner. After the dinner, Shah will hold a special meeting with office bearers and core committee members in a private hotel.
Before arriving to Bengaluru, eminent leaders of BJP and RSS held talks at the residence of national president of BJP J P Nadda at New Delhi. This meeting is said to have lasted for three hours in which organizational issues, coordination between party and government and strategy to face upcoming elections are said to have been discussed.
In another development, CM Bommai met former CM Yediyurappa on the late night of Monday and held discussion.
Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “There will not be any discussion with regards to leadership change in Karnataka during Amit Shah’s visit to the state. Expansion or restructuring of cabinet is the sole authority and power of chief minister. So the decision in this regard will be taken by the CM. Top party leaders will not meddle in this affair.”
