Ballari, May 3: “There is no change in leadership in Karnataka. Next assembly elections will be fought under the leadership of chief minister (CM) Basavaraj Bommai only,” said state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel.
Speaking to media in the city, Nalin said, “Amit Shah is in Bengaluru. But there will not be any discussion with regards to change of leadership.
“BJP has no connection between the party and the religious frictions that are going on in the state. Certain differences are seen in some pockets. Everything will be set right.
“Communal riots, terrorism and naxal activities are curtailed during the regime of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi. The administration is corruption-free and scam-free.
“Accused in the PSI examination scam are arrested. BJP will not interfere in this matter. It is true that Divya Hagaragi was the district president of BJP women wing. But BJP will not protect anyone.
“During the Congress reign, many scams have taken place. Congress did not investigate any of them. But during BJP rule, immediate investigations are being done,” he said.
With regards to the letter written by retired officials to PM Modi, Nalin said, “The retired officials have written one more letter to PM Modi saying that the earlier letter sent was politically motivated.”
