Kasargod, May 3: A speeding car lost control and fell into a roadside well without a bordering wall in Poochakkad near Bekal on Tuesday, May 3 evening.
The four passengers in the car miraculously escaped unhurt.
The accident occurred at about 5 PM. The localites immediately swung into action and the fire brigade personnel lifted and rescued the four persons stranded in the well.
The local people who saw the speeding car falling in the well after losing control of the driver, immediately got down to action. While the local young men pulled three of them from the car and rescued them, the fourth person was rescued by the fire brigade personnel. The car was found submerged in the well water.
The glass and doors had to be broken to pull and rescue the four people. They rescued passengers are all residents of Uduma. The car was retrieved using a crane.
