The season of lent starts from 9th of March(Ash Wednesday). During lent Christians observe a period of prayer, fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline. Carnival dances, and Exotic Belly dancing, 'enjoyment and merry making' could have been held at least one week before 11th March,2011.
