Sri Ravishankar  Launches 'Clean Mangalore' Programme

Mangalore, Feb 16:  Sri Sri Ravishankar – spiritual Guru and founder of Art of Living  who arrived in the  city on Wednesday February 16 was welcomed with the Poorna Kumbha.
 
Sudarshan Kriya was held at Mangala Stadium and later Guruji performed the Maha Satsang at the stadium.




































Sri Sri Ravishankar  also launched the ‘Swachcha Mangalore’  (Clean Mangalore) programme on the occasion to make the city clean, plastic free and  convert  into environment friendly green city.
 
Large number of  People  arrived  from various parts of Karnataka, including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Shimoga, Chikmagalur and Hassan districts, who  come under the jurisdiction of Mangalore Division of Art of Living Foundation, who have also undergone Sudarshan Kriya and Satsang programmes of the foundation, took part in this ceremony.

Police beefed up the security and took precautionary  measures in the city to curb any disturbance.

    Why ravi shankar is not going to UPCL and start his swatcha mangalore campaign from there?. If he is really concerned about people, he has to start the agitation with Dakshina Kannada and Udupi people for the closure of UPCL.

    MR. Igstoe Noronha, mangalore/ Canada - you are right, but these are all small fishes. The problem lies in Big fishes in Central Government with scams like Adrash, 2Gscam, Bofors etc. etc. The people of this great country should clean these corruption first.

    If the 'Clean Mangalore' campaign concentrates in the areas like VT Road,Hampamkatta Old busstand area,Urwa stores area, it will be realy meningful.Dustbins if provided on road sides,plastic bags,mineral water empty bottes etc could be disposed therein which will ease the authories work making the campaign successful.

    Clean Mangalore.It is easy to make Mangalore bcoz it is already a clean city.It is difficult to clean the dirty city. Its easy to serve food who has eaten enough and it is difficult to feed a hungry man.

    Thanks Si Ravishankerji,MCC office is the worst corrupt place. without bribe nothing moves. I went 12 times, just to change the name on a water bill, and every time, the person in-charge told me "Yelle bale".In between He said he is going to Shabarimale and the file is with his colleague and told me he will fix the problem. His colleague told me the same thing, "Yelle bale".I went and saw the Mayor Mr. Hegde. and he told me to go to ADALATH.Again, I so the first person and he told me that my file is with the engineer, and told me to go and see him, engineer never in the office. and next day I saw the file was still with the same person who told me Yelle Bale.When I asked him How much he wants he said yelle bale.Finaly one our family friend Corporator spoke to someone in the MCC office and name changed on the water bill. SriRaviShankerji Plz help us to clean this corrupt MCC office, city will clean itself.Once the corruption from MMC stops.

    Cleanliness starts from home, and cleanliness at home starts from individuals, and individual cleanliness starts from knowing what cleanliness means ????.

    And to know what cleanliness means, visit Holland.

    As per international study, India ranks lowest in house cleanliness, and Saudi Arabia on top.

    Clean Mangalore is a wishful dream. May not be a reality in the near future. I guess St. Agnes Students started it few months back. Think it is forgotten.

    However once in a blue moon, good to have thoughts of Clean Mangalore.
