Mangaluru, May 9: The MCC Bank celebrated Founder’s Day at its head office, Hampankatta on Sunday, May 8.
Meanwhile, parish priest of Milagres church Fr Bonaventure Nazreth blessed the PFX Saldanha Memorial Auditorium, a two-level car parking and the staff training centre on the occasion.
Former chairman of the bank and advocate MP Noronha inaugurated the renovated PFX Saldanha Memorial Auditorium which is named after the MCC Bank founder. MCC Bank former chairman Valentine D’Silva inaugurated the two-level car parking facility while MCC Bank chairman Anil Lobo inaugurated the staff training centre.
The two-level car parking built for the convenience of MCC Bank customers was inaugurated on Founder’s Day of the bank in the renovated bank building. Former president of MCC Bank Valentine D’Silva symbolically opened the facility to the customers.
Customers of the head office of MCC Bank near Light House Hill road have appreciated the car parking facility, which was a long-standing demand of them. Many vehicles can be parked at a time in the new parking facility. This will be convenient for the customers especially head office, founders branch and NRI cell who arrive at the central office of the bank for business.
Grandson of founder PFX Saldanha, Herald R T Saldanha unveiled the post centenary logo of the bank. He was also honored along with his siblings Vernan Saldanha and Rita Saldanha with a portrait of founder PFX Saldanha by administrative members.
In the same venue for the first time in bank history MCC bank has introduced its bulletin. The bulletin will be published twice a year with all the details about the bank. Dr Jerald Pinto, director of the bank will be the editor of the bulletin.
Hailing the growth of the bank, former chairman of bank and advocate MP Noronha said, "The customers are the heart and soul of every financial institution. The service and administration makes customers trustworthy. MCC bank succeeded has succeded in attracting the customers with its updated services and customer-friendly administration. The performance of the bank itself tells the story of the speedy growth of the bank. When an institution performs well and differently, there will be few negative comments and approaches. But the administration should take it positively and go forward without bothering much. It will make the institution stronger and more popular."
Addressing the gathering, former chairman Valentine D’Silva said, "I am very much happy that hearing the NPA index of the MCC bank goes upward. We can judge this is the result of the good administration as well as the trust of its customers. Consistant profit making of the banks will definitely attract new customers and it will pave the way for obtaining new facilities and expanding its service area. I congratulate the administration and all its staff for their dedication and commitment towards the bank. At the same time, I wish for more success in the future."
Speaking on the occasion, chairman of MCC Bank Anil Lobo remembered founder of MCC PFX Saldanha and said it was the administrative board's decision to install the founder's portrait at the MCC Bank entrance, and at the same time added that the bank is implementing the founder’s vision plan. “When everyone works together as a family then the founder's dream will be fulfilled,” he said.

MCC Bank also holds the proud distinction of the only bank in the heart of the city that has two level car parking. Chairman of the bank Anil Lobo and the administrative board has requested the customers to make good use of the renovated facilities in the central office of the bank.
MCC Bank general manager Sunil Menezes, vice-chairman Jerald Jude D’Silva and others were present. Shiny D'Souza, staff at the founder's branch compered the event.
